*DIN EN 14682 is a European safety standard for children's clothing, which focuses mainly on cords, drawstrings and parts in the neck and head area. Its aim is to prevent the risk of entrapment and strangulation (e.g. by a branch, tow handle, zip, etc.).
In practice, this means: The removable hood is designed to release itself safely in the event of an entrapment – i.e. it must not hold firmly when something is pulled on it. Thanks to this, the jacket is safe even during activities where there could be a risk of getting caught (e.g. when riding a lift or playing outside).
